I’m Katie

“Making a living as an artist is my dream. Helping others to grow in love and kindness through my creative and life experience, is my passion.
I am an artist, a retired Navy woman, and in recovery.
My journey no longer frightens me, it fuels me.
My work is of me, about me, and about all the moments in my life, the extraordinary, the unfavorable, the traumatic, and all those in between. All creative learning opportunities that I would love to share with you.

Make a difference – inspire compassion, kindness, and love

Ever since I was a little girl I have been enthralled by color, nature, animals, and music. Their respective influence on me, undeniable and their combined influence upon me, life changing.
A retired Chief Torpedoman USN, I proudly served my family, my community, and my Country.
I now serve my sacred space within.
I hope to share my process with you so we may grow together.
My mission is to engage with people through “Art Every Day,” not simply as the act of working with art supplies, rather as a mindset.
I will serve a creative community and the globe by welcoming all people to explore and experience art, creativity, and our shared humanity.
My creative space is centered in my soul, my essence. my sacred space. From there, I explore Creativity. I embrace Honesty throughout the process and Accept those things that are beyond my capacity to control. I am committed to and Understand the courage it takes me to be Vulnerable understanding that it is paramount for my growth. Most of this I have learned through Self-care and through a willingness to dig deep, a capacity to be honest, take responsibility, and hold myself accountable.
My result? I have discovered a joyful Soul, filled with a Peace, and Serenity, beyond my wildest imagination that has given me the grace to love myself and therefore others, while expanding my ideas of kindness, my steadfast belief in possibility, and the gift of purpose.
What does this have to do with my creativity?
My purpose is to help you and the world discover “Art Every Day” as a mindset, an alternative form of meditation, self-discovery, and mechanism for healing.
Please join me in making our communities a better place to live.
